Term 3

We have been a busy bunch this term getting ready for our BIG EVENT. Our syndicate (the Middles) have been researching what is involved in running a big event because NZ is holding such a huge event; The Rugby World Cup!! (GO All Blacks) Now we are taking the information we have learnt and running our own big event, it is going to be like the amazing race and the winning house will get points. Here are some photos from our visit to Trafalgar Park in our researching stage.

Term 2

Hi everyone, Miss Schwass here... a bit of an update for term 2. Well after a great time travelling through Europe I have returned to see Mrs Reedy and Room 15 have had a very exciting, busy, scientific term, even finishing it with a Middle Syndicate Battle! I have seen photos of some interesting medicine making, energy exploring, book week, card writing to penpals in the UK, cross country and the museum. I am looking forward to seeing everyone to find out more and getting stuck into Term 3. A big thank you to Mrs Reedy who did such an amazing job in Room 15, you will be missed! Scooter Safety

Yesterday we did scooter safety a ladie called Sarah came in and taught us how to be safe on our scooters. Everyones favourite part about it was probably having the free time at the end. It went for about 1 hour and a half. It was awesome.

Tuatara visit

Three weeks ago we went up to the staff room and there was a big tuatara. The people told us about the tuatara they told us what there scared of. They are scared of cats, dogs and rats. We were up there for about 10 minutes it was really fun. After that we went outside and played a game. Two men told us about them.

Class Art

We have been working with clay for our art topic so far this term. We started by making all sorts of things like sausages and peas and even snowmen. Our first thing we made to leave to dry was a spiky dude. Next we made pinch pots and even painted them cool colours. We are looking forward to our trip to the pottery to see how the big pots are made. Stay tuned for more phots from the trip to come.....

Rhythm Interactive

Our school was very lucky to have a rhythm interactive show visit us and teach us about beat and rhythm. Each of us got a drum and we had to follow beat patterns and even make new rhythms. The man who ran it didn't speak until the very end, he taught us by using his hands and facial expressions.
